💫 We do not accept interviews or current events unless you’re a regular writer
💫 Minimum word count is 500
💫 You may send a rough draft and our editors will work with you!

FICTION

💫 Any types of fiction we accept: letters, diaries, short stories, plays, free writing
💫 Minimum word count is 300
💫 Short stories are typically anywhere between 1,000-6,000 words

We have a new and upcoming Advice Column called Ask the Collective, where our advice columnist will respond to your submissions with a thoughtful answer – whether they’re letters or stories with inquiries or about troubles in your life.

At the Collective aim to create an open-minded and inclusive environment in this section, so if you have a problem – whether it’s relationship problems, you’re having trouble at school, or you’re feeling lost – our advice columnists will help.
